Auto Shows – Car Reviews and Photos
Posted By admin on February 24, 2010
Auto Shows
Auto shows are car manufacturers’ preferred method for generating publicity about their products. Reviews and photos in the automotive press certainly help, but having the public kick tires, slam doors and play with the radio knobs is still the best way to create excitement about new models–or even old classics.
The purpose of auto shows
Generally, an auto show is held for one of three reasons. Large auto shows are held in major cities all over the world so automotive manufacturers can reveal their current product lines to both the public and the automotive press. Second, manufacturers may exhibit “concept cars,” which are futuristic designs meant to indicate where the manufacturer is headed in the future. Finally, an auto show may be held merely to celebrate the old classics, or to promote trades and sales between collectors.
Auto shows generally attract sizeable crowds of enthusiasts, collectors and prospective buyers. Many car reviews are assigned to journalists based upon meetings at these shows, as well. In other words, these gatherings are essential to the success of the auto industry, and it’s important to have a resource that can inform the public when they’re taking place.
We’re an excellent online resource for keeping up with the latest auto shows, or seeing photos from past events. You can also find plenty of information regarding price quotes, accessories and car reviews on the website.
